This one is at Kasaba Bay Equestrian Farm in Mnandi AH. We will be doing the 40, 60, 80 & 100 heights with a difference. First the clear rounds for the 40cm will get a certificate and not a ribbon. Then the 60cm will have Derby elements. For the 1m class this will be where you have to make the choose with 2 jokers, one will give you all your points back and the other will only give you 50%.

Showing Workings

Here is the full show info for you:

The Inhand will have 3 judges who will only be known by me until on the day. Each judge will have a scribe, and the scribe will have a score sheet for each entry. There will be a judge in the arena and the other 2 judges will be placed one on each side of the arena and the judges will not communicate with each other at all.

The score sheet is made up of 7 pointers, each scored out of 20 points. The 3 sheets will then be added up and then divided by 3 for the final result. The winner is the entry with the highest score.

We will now also remove the highest and the lowest score on each score card which will now make the result out of 100 or 100% for each judge. In this way we now believe that this will achieve the best result.

The 7 points are:

1) Turnout of Handler & Horse/Pony
2) Is the Handler or Horse/Pony in charge (Control)
3) The temprament of the Horse/Pony (Behavior)
4) Movement of the Horse/Pony
5) Overall look of the Face & Neck
6) Overall look of the left & Right side
7) Overall look of the back side

The only difference for the rider Showing, is that point 3 will be split into the 3 movements -- the judge will have to take into account, the ability of the rider to make the transition from walk to trot to canter. However the total will still be out of 100 points.

Here is how the rider’s showing sheet will look.

1) Turnout of Handler & Horse/Pony
2) Is the Handler or Horse/Pony in charge
3) The temprament of the Horse/Pony (Behavior)
4) Movement of the Horse/Pony
a) Walk
b) Trot
c) Canter
5) Overall look of the Face & Neck
6) Overall look of the Left & Right side
7) Overall look of the back side

As per the table below one can see the more entries not only the bigger the first place cash prize is, but the most important point is the more places that will get prize money and the fact that the last place WILL get there entry fee back.

The most important point is that the table below is based on each of the 3 groups being Stallion, Gelding and Mare.

Number of Entries per Class

11 22 33 66 99 132 165

It must also be noted that the Equestrian Society only sees the animal as in the "Ride" must be clean and well groomed, but must not be plaited or changed in any way as this is the " Handler and Rider " showing the ride as it would be seen in the wild.

* International as in that the rules taken to any where in the would and the 3 scores sent to the Society will then be listed and the top "Stallion, Gelding and Mare" will be listed and the higher the score the better the ride is placed and at the end of the day the winner is the one with the highest score and that ride could be any where in the world.

It could be your ride.
