Mission Statement |
|
To create a society of like-minded horse lovers who always place the horse first. Through interactivity with members build a culture of horsemanship and sportsmanship The drive behind the Equestrian Society is one of "KISS". The aim is to keep everything as simple as possible, friendly and supportive helping the activity in all disciplines to return to good clean exciting horse sport. To make sure that every member is 100% involved with everything from A - Z and knowing that their involvement makes a difference and that it is not controlled by a small group of people. To assist where necessary and justifiable, financially or otherwise, for the good of the horse and equestrianism in any of the disciplines. To build the Equestrian Society into a Global Society to promote the sport in every part of the world and by doing so, reduce the cost of competing, both Nationally and Internationally, in an effort to ensure that the best in the world are able to compete against each other. To avoid the elitism of ‘invitation only competitions’ and build the culture of “I am here because I am the best and so is the field I am competing against” in its place. With a Global Society in place the plan is to stop moving the horse from country to country, but move the competitor. This will then bring the cost to compete down radically. Lastly the Equestrian Society will work on the fact that it's about HORSEMANSHIP and not how far one can push the horse. The emphasis will be on the grading of the rider which will be determined by his or her ability to technically achieve results. |
