And Here Is The NEWS. I have to start this newsletter with the point that I have been told that I’m “extremely arrogant and ignorant of the subject”. This was one of the comments I received about last week’s newsletter. In addition, I also received a very long list of people who have done research on AHS, but when I read over them, they were all out of date, plus the fact that we are still using a 30 year old antidote, surely must say something? In response firstly, I have to point out that I do own horses and that we do inject them every year, but we also keep our yard clean and we feed our horses health food as well as Rooibos Tea. Then, as I have been working on helping the horse for the past 7 years, I have made many very good contacts and have spent a lot of time and money on the AHS subject. As for the point that AHS is owned by OP - this is a legal fact and I’m sorry, but until they hand legal rights over in writing it is theirs, and NO ONE can produce any other AHS product. Now back to some good news, yes, 2011 is almost history and many of my good friends are already on holiday. Please, I ask from the bottom of my heart, that everyone takes it easy over this time of the year, and a very BIG please “DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE” - you will waste all that good stuff! A word from our Editor: We recently adopted a beautiful donkey and are fostering a young appaloosa foal from HHCU. We had two stables available and so we made them available for these two sad little souls. We’ve only had them a couple of days, but already the difference in them, their whole demeanour, their eyes and their attitude towards humans is priceless! What an amazing experience this is turning out to be for us. My neighbour Tanya has just adopted a mare and foal and she’s about to open up for some more. If any other yards and any hearts out there, have any space available to help with rescued horses, please contact HHCU or even Alan and he will put you in touch with me – these animals who have given so much all their lives, are just being discarded and left in the most appalling conditions – isn’t it time we gave back? HELP: Hi Alan Can anyone help me with some advice please? I have been shown that my black Friesian now has 5 white hairs on his side like the 5 on his head. What I would like to know is where does the white come from, and was there ever a white Friesian?? I must point out that his father was 2009 champion and from the pictures, is pitch black, or is he?? The mare did have the white on her head like so many Friesian mares, could this be where he is getting it from?? Alan's 5 cents Take on: In my 54 years on this planet, I still cannot get my “Grey Matter” around the point of people’s reaction to a comment made. For instance, this comment saying a person is “arrogant and ignorant” when they do not even know the person and/or their background. This kind of comment is fine, only if it is made by a person who has the relevant background and years of experience on the subject, but when it’s just made out of the blue, it does kind of make one wonder who exactly is “arrogant and ignorant”?? Then when you ask the person to substantiate their point, and of course, no surprise, there is no response! This just says to me that maybe they do not know the subject. One can say that this is the sad case of people not liking the truth or perhaps not liking who has made the comment. Well that is my grey matter trying to work the world out. That's my 5 cents what's your?? E-mail alan@honystable.com with any comments.
